Splits59 launched a new capsule this morning they’re calling the wild heart collection. It includes 3 new colors, a new viper print, and a couple new styles as well:
Cardinal is a new shade of red, shown in their new avery open racerback pullover. It almost looks like a heart. S59 loves to play with cut-out back pullovers, but this is one of my favorites that they’ve made recently. It’s also in black and their new mauve color.
This is the new mauve, in the nova expression capri (the only new color). I love the rose gold lame accents, but not sure how I feel about the mauve color itself.
Verve is a new shade of indigo that looks a lot like bruised berry. LOVE it, and I’ve said before how much I love the devon singlette tank. This one is on the ol’ wishlist already.
Another instant wishlist addition: the devon singlette in white viper. I’m convinced the neutral colors would look good with just about everything, especially brights and jewel tones.
The olivia hooded run LS also got viper-ified on the sleeves. Still loving the white viper look.
New celeste performance tank with an almost-muscle tank silhouette and a keyhole back. I’m solidly “meh” about this one. Also comes in white.
No new colors here, but a new style: this is the nova racer capri. I’ve been noticing a LOT of mesh insets on crops this season (e.g., lululemon’s seek the heat crops and laser cut wunder unders, plus lots of other brands), and S59 seems to be getting in on the trend with this one.
Some of their core pieces like the raquel tight and loren bra are also available in these new colors. You can see all the new additions here.
Overall, this is one of my favorite capsules from S59 in recent months, mostly for the color palette. Lululemon and S59 both seem to be taking their color cues from the same place (Pantone?) with recent colors: S59’s cardinal is like flaming tomato, verve is in a similar family to the new blue (pigment?), and mauve is in the same family as purple fog/mauvelous. Hoping we’ll see a little bit more in this color palette before S59 moves on to the next thing.
