Wasn’t a Race With Grace fan last year but glad to see they got rid of the weird kangaroo pocket in the front. Still don’t like it though.

I wish the red was a true red. Not flaming tomato, love red, atomic red with orangey undertones – they’ve done that red enough. I want a deep true red. Too bad as the holiday season was the perfect time to release that type of red and it wasn’t.

Still not much i’m liking. I wonder how much the port slow down in Los Angeles is having an affect on what we are seeing on uploads (lately boring all black/gray) or if it’s just poor color and design choices for the season.

WMTM Boxing Day upload was disappointing. I was hoping some of the wintery items like the Om & Roam PO, the Race Your Pace LS, the Open Your Heart LS, or the Think Fast LS, Rebel Runner crops all would have gone to MD. This stuff is just sitting there with the same sizes available for weeks.

If I’m gonna go for a PO I’d rather go whole-hog and have it be rulu, so this one doesn’t really tempt me.

For reds, deepest cranberry was a pretty true red. There were a few things in that color, but they definitely could’ve stood to do more considering it looks like we’re getting bombarded by atomic red. I don’t really know why they do so many orange-reds.

I agree that Boxing Day was a bit of a flop. I was hoping/expecting some of the same things you mentioned to go to MD, instead it just seemed like more of the same poopy stuff that didn’t sell on the warehouse sale or was always kind of awkward. Generally, I’ll give lulu an off month or two, but it seems like a lot of things haven’t really been turning around. I’m sensing a lot of growing discontent and boredom from previously loyal fans. I guess we can keep hoping things hit their stride again.

What’s the purpose of the bottom zip on the half zip?

In case your boobs are hot but your neck is cold?!?! :) I’ve never really understood that either.

it does hold the collar in place, keep it from flapping, while allowing for some air flow

Ho hum. I was a bit underwhelmed with the Boxing Day upload, but I guess Lulu needs to move all the stuff that didn’t sell well- dunno. That makes two weeks in a row of nothing new. It seems like they were on a roll for a minute, with some really fab pieces, which I’m happy I got my hands on, but I guess it’s just a matter of personal taste- not really feeling the bilateral zipper on the half-zip, either. Maybe they’re just waiting to ‘wow’ us in 2015?

I’ve read in some business articles that lulu’s inventory has gone way up this year, which I totally believe. A lot of the older stuff is moving a lot slower than it used to. So, I suppose that means the markdowns will be that slow-moving stuff, which of course us fanatics aren’t crazy about.

Also not a Race With Grace fan – I don’t get the dual zipper, I don’t like the colors, and I prefer rulu for pullovers also. And what is with Lulu calling orange shade after orange shade a red? Is this “1984” or something? Calling it red doesn’t make it red! (Atomic Red, Love Red, I could go on and on…. all more orange-y than red, at least to my eyes.) (I dislike orange in all shades.) Same thing with the recent “ultraviolet”, which sure looked like a pink to me. (I don’t like pink either.)
Also was disappointed in the Anytime Dress, after all the hype about it – very thin, very clingy, shows every lump and bump. I guess if you’re 21 and/or have a perfectly smooth body it would look great on you, but that isn’t me. I LOVED the heathered Alberta Lake color I got it in, but that can’t overcome the thin close-fitting fabric and styling, so back that goes.
Thank you, Agent A, by the way, for the menthol/bali breeze comparison several days ago – I got sick right after that and when I went back to find it and say thanks there, I couldn’t find the post any more. Very helpful!

I think the litmus test for colors would be if your boyfriend/husband called it red or orange. At least love red is clearly under the “red” umbrella, even if it’s not a true red. Atomic red I just don’t get. I never did get to try the anytime dress, but I could imagine it being fairly revealing with the jersey fabric.
