Koral Activewear’s mystic capris are one of their signature styles season after season. The basic heather grey and a just-barely-cropped silhouette is a simple but chic fitness staple. I’ve seen numerous positive reviews for the mystic capris, so when I found them for 30% off during a sale event, I thought the price was totally worth giving them a shot!
The #1 thing I’d heard people say about the mystic capris is how soft they are. And they’re totally right. They’re almost criminally soft and feel absolutely wonderful on.
The fabric has a ton of stretch but only very light compression. They are completely opaque. The fabric is thicker than a lot of other leggings, but isn’t too heavy. It’s pretty solidly a medium weight, but still breathable and definitely not as hot as a thermal fabric. The weight is ideal for low- or medium-sweat workouts. For high-sweat workouts, I’d reach for my cooler, lighter fabrics like lululemon’s luxtreme (or just go straight for shorts!).
On that note, a common concern with heather greys like this fabric is that they often show sweat. Unfortunately, I can’t really say either way how these hold up to sweaty workouts. I’m a very cold-natured person and I don’t sweat much, so I’m not a good person to test sweat resistance.
The cut on these is slim, but the fabric has a lot of stretch. I wear an XXS or XS (2 in lululemon) and these fit me very well. Since the fabric has so much stretch, I believe these would fit someone who’s a true XS as well. I would go with your normal size, but if you’re between, you can go up.
The mystic capris are a long cropped length and end up being a nice 7/8 length on me (I’m 5’3″).
One thing I really like about how these crops are cut: no baggy ankles!! Excess fabric at the hem is a perennial problem with long crops, and I hate how it looks. These have a tight leg opening and fit around my leg perfectly. Even if you’re shorter than me and the hem hits at a lower (i.e., skinnier) part of your ankles, you might still be in luck. So, if you’re also a member of the skinny ankle club, these are a winner.
The rise is on the lower side, but also has enough coverage in the back for me to feel comfortable. The waistband has a thin black contrast at the top. There are no pockets on these, including at the waistband.
As you can see from the lack of tags, I decided to keep these. The fabric is the biggest selling point for me, and getting them on sale meant these were an awesome deal. Although the event during which I got these is over, the normal retail price of $85 is totally reasonable if you ask me. If you love luscious, creamy fabrics, you’ll love the mystic capris.
Where to find mystic capris
Since these are a core style for Koral, they’re available at a ton of retailers, and sometimes you can find them on sale at one of them, too:
