In case you somehow missed it, it’s Cyber Monday!  Be sure to check the sale roundup post for the last hurrah of the sale weekend!

The day has come.  All my Nike metcon dreams have officially come true.  Nike just released a metcon 2 with rose gold accents–or bronze, according to the official Nike name.  No matter what you want to call it, they’re gorgeous and they came to live in my closet right away.

The shoes are almost all black with the exception of the metallic accents and a white sole.  Although at first it seemed like white on the sole would be a bad idea, I actually think it’s better than white on the upper of the shoe.  My reasoning is that the rubber sole will be easier to wipe clean than the fabric of the upper.  At least, that’s what I’m hoping for!

The shoes also came with grey laces, but I honestly doubt that I will ever use them, since I like the all black look on top.  The laces are a tad shorter than I’m used to, but still long enough to get the job done.

As usual with my metcons, I went with my normal shoe size (6.5) and they fit perfectly.  I’ve been really happy with my other two pairs as a training shoe for lifting + crosstraining, so I don’t expect these will be any different!

Obsessed with metallic Nikes

It makes me a little too happy that I now have a complete neutral + metallic Nike trifecta: gold, silver, and now bronze!  Hopefully Nike is out of metallics now, so my wallet can rest easy. :)

By the way, the marble gym bag in this post is now 30% off at Carbon38!  I’m betting it’ll sell out quickly, so if you’ve been eyeing this one, now is your chance!  I love that it’s a nice middle size for when I don’t have too much to haul.  And the marble print looks fabulous with everything.  Here’s a full review of the bag if you want some more details.

These are gorgeous! I kind of want to start doing cross fit just so I can justify buying these…

Well, they’ll work for other types of cross-training besides CrossFit. ;)

These are so cute! I’m considering the Nike free version. Is Nike having a deal today?
I really am in need of some black sneakers for every day and light exercise (walking, bootcamp videos in my living room, etc.), not running. Anyone know of any good cybermonday sales at places with lots of cute athletic shoes? Those websites aren’t really on my radar.
    Thanks!

Six:02 has the rose gold frees for $75. Not a HUGE sale but not bad. Nike isn’t having any promos on full price merch.

I did not know I wanted these until now…

I might give the flex a try since I found them in my size at Macy’s and I have a gift card from a year ago that still needs to be used. I’m not sure about sizing, but I usually stick with my usual size or go up half a size in athletic shoes.

Anyone have any experience with the flex?

Oh nice! If Macy’s will let you return them you might as well try. I’ve never tried that model so I have no idea how sizing is unfortunately.

Do you know of where I could get a pair? 8.5, and ship to nz? Want them sooo bad!
